When is a track spotlight dimmable and how is it controlled?
Not every track light is suitable for dimming operation as standard. Whether a track light is dimmable depends on the LED driver installed. In our range, you will find a large selection of dimmable models that can be easily regulated via classic leading-edge or trailing-edge dimmers in your wall installation to perfectly adjust the brightness at any time.
Is a fixed LED track spotlight better than a GU10 track spotlight?
A GU10 track light offers the advantage that the bulb can be replaced quickly and independently if required. Professional, permanently installed LED track lights, in comparison, impress with significantly higher light output (more lumens per watt), more precise beam angles for spot lighting, and superior thermal management, which guarantees an extremely long lifespan for the LED chips.
Are RIMCLED lights compatible with tracks for an SLV track spotlight or ERCO?
Yes, our 3-phase track spotlights are equipped with universal Euro adapters. They are universally compatible with common European 230V 3-phase tracks on the market. So, if you already have track systems installed where, for example, an ERCO track spotlight or an SLV track spotlight was previously used, you can usually use our models as a direct, energy-efficient upgrade.
What should I look out for when choosing a 3-phase track light model?
When selecting suitable 3-phase track spotlights, you should pay particular attention to their intended use. For merchandise presentation in retail or galleries, a high colour rendering index (CRI Ra ≥ 90) is crucial for colours to appear true to life. In addition, the beam angle determines the lighting effect: narrow spots are suitable for precise accent lighting, while wide-beam modules evenly illuminate shop windows or workplaces.
