The smart revolution for your lighting system: The Casambi CBU-ASD control unit is an ultra-compact, Bluetooth-controllable controller designed specifically for direct integration into luminaires. With this module, you can easily upgrade conventional, dimmable LED drivers to modern, wireless radio control. The highly flexible control output can be configured either as an analog 0-10V (1-10V) interface or as a digital standalone DALI interface.

Future-Proof Technology: Standalone DALI & Mesh Network

When the module is operated in digital mode (Standalone DALI), the CBU-ASD not only functions as a control unit but also as an integrated DALI power supply. This allows for direct connection to DALI drivers without additional external DALI power supplies. This minimizes the number of components and enables the uncomplicated implementation of multi-channel lighting systems such as RGB color controls or Tunable-White (adjustable color temperature).

Multiple Casambi devices automatically connect to form a stable, wireless **mesh network**. Each module acts as a repeater, allowing the range of the overall system to scale flexibly. An expensive, central gateway or a separate wireless LAN network is not required for setup and operation.

Versatile Operation – with or without an App

Configuration and wireless control are conveniently done via smartphone or tablet using the free Casambi app (available for iOS and Android). For everyday use, however, many more options are available: The system can be operated via Casambi-enabled sensors (such as PIR presence detectors), wireless wall switches (e.g., Casambi Xpress or EnOcean), and **standard, existing light switches (230V)**. By briefly switching off and on the classic wall switch, pre-set dimming levels or lighting scenes can be easily recalled.

Caution – Dangerous Voltages: Installation must only be carried out by qualified personnel. Before starting any work, ensure that all supply lines are completely de-energized.

System Compatibility: The CBU-ASD controller does not comply with IEC 60929 and is therefore not suitable for connection to an existing, conventional DALI building network. The module may only be used for autonomous standalone control within closed systems (e.g., within a luminaire without an external DALI interface).
